Video: All hell breaks loose during the last minute of a Penguins/Flyers game

Things I like about this video:

Huge, clean hit.

There is a line brawl.

The coaches get into it.

Awkward Pierre McGuire.

Potential playoff preview.

Things I do not like:

Clean hits leading to scrums. What happened to enforcing only the dirty shots?

Both of these teams.

Video: The hockey fight of the year (so far)

In tonight’s game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals, Washington’s Jay Beagle decided to make the mistake of dropping the gloves against Pittsburgh’s Arron Asham. Beagle has almost no experience fighting while Asham is one of the league’s best when it comes to fisticuffs. The fight resulted in blood and teeth all over the ice.

Play of the Day – 3/27/11

Top Play: Shannon Brown dunk vs. the New Orleans Hornets

Sick switch-hands dunk by Chris Shannon Brown

Runner-up: Alexei Kovalev shootout goal vs. the Florida Panthers

Nothing spectacular here, just a nice move that fooled Florida’s goaltender.
