Top Play: Derrick Rose reverse slam against the Kings
It was only a matter of time before Derrick would make top plays. Great play and great win by the Baby Bulls tonight.
Runner-up: Matt Cooke gets suspended for rest of regular season + first round of playoffs
NHL fans can finally sigh in relief, as resident douchebag Matt Cooke of the Pittsburgh Penguins is gone for the last 10 games of the regular season and the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the hit above. Now the next question is when is karma going to come back to Cooke? Click the link and smile while you watch Cooke get KO’d in one punch by a fed up 19 year old.
Top Play: Anthony Robles wins NCAA National Title at 125 lbs.
How about some inspiration to start your day? Arizona State’s Anthony Robles, who was born without a leg, beat defending national champion Jason Lara of Oregon to capture the 125 pound weight class title. Impressive.
Runner-up: Jon “Bones” Jones dominates Mauricio “Shogun” Rua for the UFC Light Heavyweight title
This fight was the definition of domination. Jones forced Rua to tap after a brutal beating on the ground as well as standing up. The win cements Jones as the youngest UFC champion ever at age 23. He will face Rashad Evans in his first title defense later this year. (Skip to around 2:15 to see the ending)
Top Play: Jameer Nelson sinks a buzzer beater to beat the Denver Nuggets
Haven’t been paying attention to NBA basketball with all of this March Madness going on? This is all you need to see.
Runner-up: Derrick Rose
More of a top play-er than play today. Rose just went off against Indiana tonight, tying a career high in points with 42, going 18-21 from the free throw line, and single handedly leading the Bulls from a 16 point deficit to force overtime. Rose his three clutch free throws with virtually no time on the clock to secure overtime. However, the Bulls fell to the Pacers 115-108. Somebody get this guy some help!
Top Play: Danny Granger buzzer beater to beat New York Knicks
There can never be too many buzzer beaters, right?
Runner-up: Evander Kane sick pass to Tim Stapleton
This pass is ridiculously hard to make. Kane basically has his head down and makes a perfect, back-handed cross-ice pass for the one-timer. Just dirty.
