K. Valentine is looking like one of the more promising female M.C.s I’ve seen since Nicki Minaj. Maybe Chicago can hone its own female Nicki? As you guessed, in “Dream On”, Valentine does indeed sample the classic Aerosmith joint while also adding in a Drake sample to complement. Valentine presents a sick pace-changing flow throughout. She should definitely be on your radar of up-and-coming artists.
