Mos Dub-Mr. Universe
One of my favorite rappers of all time is Mos Def. Black on Both Sides was a classic, and when I first heard that, I was hooked on everything he put out (not all his movies though…). Forming Black Star with best friend Talib Kweli, the duo turned into one of the most popular rap group of all time, while staying true to themselves and not rapping about how thug they are and how many cool cars they have.
In comes Max Tannone, a New York producer. He decided to make a cd mixing Brooklyn Hip Hop and Jamaican reggae, and did so seamlessly.
